well I think just one of these would power our whole city! (as long as it is on a hill or something)

however, becoming reliant on something so large can be dangerous, think if it breaks? no power for the whole city, however, consolidation = efficiency... so there is always that benefit.

i see atlas city using a variety of energy sources to always have a nice power flow through the city.

i agree one source of energy is not enough, perhaps a few smaller of these machines along with buildings whose exteriors allow solar energy collection as Jacque has mentioned in the past.

I agree also. I think Atlas City should rely on the following energy sources:

1. Solar


2. Wind


3. Hydro

I also think we should look into getting energy from the glean, geothermal process. The Earth's core is always producing heat, lets take advantage of it.

Yes these are great technologies we need to use in cooperation. That wind turbine is a great idea, but last time it was brought up someone brought up a negative. I can't remember what it was, maybe expense. Still, it's a very viable option. geothermal may be very useful in Nevada as well, but it varies greatly and the land will need to be surveyed to see if it can be used that way. Even if not in the power plant style in the video above, it can be used in smaller systems per building.
